On Symmetric Structures within Symmetric Solid Objects

Section I - Introduction

Introduction :

• It is understood that up to five (5) Symmetric Solid Object shapes have so far been identified , namely :
  • the Tetarhedron , ( 4-faces ) ;
  • the Cube , ( 6-faces ) ;
  • the Octahedron , ( 8-facces ) ;
  • the Dodecahedron , ( 12-faces ) ; and
  • the Icosahedron , ( 20-faces ) .

  It is also understood that these shapes do occur rather often in nature :

  • the methane molecule is tetrahedral in shape ,

  • the structure of diamond ( carbon ) is also tetrahedral ,

  • certian viruses , such as the rubella virus and the HIV virus , do have the Icosahedron as the basic structural shape ;

    just to cite a few examples .

• A more in-depth study of the Symmetric Solid Object shapes is therefore warranted , and :
  • this paper is intended to serve as a foundation-type analysis for further exploration into the subject matter .
