An Approach to Mathematic Functions Basics

Section I - Introduction

In this paper , we attempted to get ourselves prepared for a full attack on the Distribution of Prime Number ,
- and in particular , the Riemann Zeta Function .
As such ,
- We looked at Logarithms in Part II ,
  - because the Logarithmic Function is closely related to the Distribution of Prime Numbers .
- The Hyperbola is next in Part III ,
  - because Logarithms are related to the Area-under-the-Curve of the Hyperbola .
- We looked at the Circle-Ellipse-Parabola in Part IV ,
  - because these are in the same family of curves as the Hyperbola .
- In Part V , we came up with one single format of equations :
  - to cover the Circle-Ellipse-Parabola-Hyperbola combination in Polar Co-Ordinates .
- In Part VI , we looked at the Orbit of a Satellite moving under a Central Force ,
  And we threw around the idea that :
  - The Circle-Ellipse-Parabola-Hyperbola combination
    - is nothing more than a { Planar Cross-Section Cut } of 3-Dimensional Curves
      - for the value of [ N ] being equal to [ 2 ] ;
    and
    - there are other { Planar Cross-Section Cuts } for [ N = 3 ] , [ N = 4 ] , etc. ;
      - which may be interesting .
  - In Part VII and Part VIII, we covered the Tangent and Arctangent Functions ,
    - and these are important because [ complex numbers ] usually do involve Sines and Cosines .
A rather long paper , but we are still missing something on the Factorial Function .
