In this Part IV of the paper :
- we shall attempt to derive the { equation in Polar Co-ordinates } for the Ellipse , the Circle , and the Parabola ;
  - and come up with a single type of equation , namely equations-of-the-format :

In Section XVIII , coming up next :
- We shall spell out the Geometric Definition of the Ellipse ,
  - using the { 2-focal-points and constant sum-of-distance } definition .
In Section XIX :
- We shall develop the equation for the Ellipse in [ Polar Co-ordinates ] ,
  - using the [ Focal-Point closest to the Vertex-in-question ] as the base Point-of-Referece ;
    - to come up with this equation :
In Section XX :
- We shall develop the equation for the Ellipse in [ Polar Co-ordinates ] ,
  - using the [ Focal-Point farthest from the Vertex-in-question ] as the base Point-of-Reference ;
    - to come up with this equation :

- We shall develop this equation below for the Circle :
