• In this Section , we shall do a quick review of the Equilateral Triangle ,
  • in preparation of the structural dimensioning of the Icosahedron in the next Section .

Bringing-in the Equilateral Triangle :

• Let us first bring-in this Equilateral Triangle [ Triangle A-B-C ] , as shown on-the-left below , and :
  • mark-off the [ length of the Side of the Equilateral Triangle ] as the distance [ S ] , i.e. :
    • as per the diagram on-the-left below .

  

• We then mark-off the point [ Point M ] as the mid-point of [ Side B-C ] , and :
  • denote the distance for [ Line-Segment A-M ] as [ L-sub-H ] , i.e.:

  And we see here that the Height of the Equilateral Triangle is simply :
